• De La Fuente Jr.'s past includes Newark charges - Oakland official's son faces charges for rape
  OAKLAND — The 32-year-old son of City Council President Ignacio De La Fuente, who faces charges he kidnapped, beat and raped a 15-year-old girl in Oakland, had been charged in 2001 with battering his girlfriend in Newark but reached a plea agreement on a lesser crime. Police also are investigating whether De La Fuente Jr. is responsible for attacks on other women, said Lt. Mike Yoell, commander of the Special Victims Unit. Police suspect De La Fuente Jr. forced the teenager, who was walking near High Street early April 16, into his 2001 GMC pickup truck. Police said De La Fuente hit the girl when she tried to escape, then beat and raped her in the truck on a street near the Oakland Estuary. According to the CHP, De La Fuente asked the officers if they knew who his father was and derided   them as "wannabe" Oakland police officers. As he was being booked at the Oakland City Jail, De La Fuente Jr. threatened the CHP officers and used a racial slur to refer to African Americans. - (Spanic sexcrimes)

  on no-bail charges of kidnapping and forcibly raping a 15- year-old girl in the city's Fruitvale district. Ignacio Rafael De La Fuente Jr., 32, of Redwood City allegedly attacked the girl April 16. Physical evidence has linked him to the victim, said Oakland police Officer Danielle Ashford, declining to elaborate. The younger De La Fuente was convicted in 1993 for possession of a stolen vehicle. In exchange for his no-contest plea in that case, prosecutors dropped misdemeanor charges of evading police and hit-and-run. - (Brewski)

  While patrolling the area of Fifth Avenue and Edison Way just after 2 a.m., deputies heard a woman screaming "help'' and "rape.'' Deputies approached a nearby railroad crossing and saw a man on top of a woman. The suspect, later identified as 33-year-old Angel Rodriguez Juarez, saw deputies, got off of the victim and allegedly fled on foot.   Sonoma County: The woman told detectives that a man confronted her along the trail, threatened her at knifepoint and then fled into nearby bushes after raping her. The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, about 20- to 25-years-old, 5 foot 10 inches, approximately 160 pounds, with brown shoulder length hair. He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the rape.

• Daughter of Marcus Wesson provides disturbing details of incestuous relationships
  During testimony yesterday, Wesson's 27-year-old daughter cried on the witness stand as she described her incestuous relationship with her father. Kiana Wesson also provided disturbing details about the relationship that at times had jurors turning away in disgust. Wesson is charged with nine counts of murder and 14 counts of sexually abusing his daughters and nieces.

  It took Enrico Paguio and his family 15 years to get the green cards they needed to leave the Philippines and start a new life in the United States. But just five weeks after settling in their adopted country, an unspeakable tragedy has them packing up and moving back home. Paguio's 2-year-old daughter, Francesca, was stabbed to death in their San Jose condominium early Saturday morning, allegedly by his own brother. Family members say the brother, Emil Paguio, 33, has a history of paranoia and suspect he may have spiraled into a rage fueled by drugs when he allegedly stabbed his niece with a kitchen knife.   San Mateo County jury must decide whether two cousins who had sex with an intoxicated 19-year-old forcibly raped the woman or merely participated in consensual acts. Jurors heard opening statements today in the case of cousins Nilson Aristondo, 27, and Jose “Giovanni’’ Aristondo, 25. Both men are charged with forcible rape and rape of an intoxicated person. Nilson Aristondo is additionally charged with two counts of digital penetration and two counts of sodomy and one count of oral copulation for the events in his Daly City apartment on Jan. 12-13, 2004. Doe was intoxicated and her memory of events is somewhat foggy, Devitt said.   Loza lives as a transient, they say, and at that time frequented shelters and campsites in Santa Cruz. He is believed to be in Mexico.
  In a situation that frustrates detectives and others, Loza has been jailed twice in Mexico since the assault. But Mexican officials will not extradite suspects accused of crimes that could result in a sentence of life in prison without possibility of parole, or the death penalty. In October 2001, the Mexican Supreme Court ruled that imposing a life sentence violates that country’s constitution.
