Review Sought Over Jurors' Bible Reading in case of convicted black kidnap-rape-murderer   Colo. -- Prosecutors have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a case in which a convicted murderer's death sentence was overturned because jurors went beyond the evidence and consulted a Bible during deliberations. Robert Harlan, who was convicted in the 1994 killing of White cocktail waitress Rhonda Maloney, is serving a life sentence since the Colorado Supreme Court in March agreed with a lower court's ruling that the jury's action was improper. - (crime) |
80-year-old White man robbed at Sarasota church by Black  Sarasota, Florida - Manatee County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for the suspect who robbed an elderly man at a church. 80-year old George Abraham says he turns on the lights and unlocks the doors every day at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church on Magellan Drive in Sarasota. He’s been volunteering his time for the last 42-years. Abraham gave him 13-dollars. It was all he had. When the suspect began talking about robbing other parishioners, George quickly closed the lobby door. He called 9-1-1 after walking back into the church. The suspect is a black male, about 5’10. 40 armed black inmates attacked 20 unarmed white inmates in a recreation area of the prison Tulsa Man To Stand Trial In Death Of An Inmate At A Cushing Prison. Payne County judge has ordered a convicted Tulsa County killer to stand trial for a fatal stabbing at the Cimarron Correctional facility in Cushing. 32 year old Eric Johnson is charged with murder in the stabbing of Adam Lippert. The stabbing happened March 22nd. During a preliminary hearing, an inmate testified he saw 40 armed black inmates attack 20 unarmed white inmates in a recreation area of the prison. Nashville: Black gunman shoots White police officer   Thursday morning 33 year-old Metro Police Officer Daniel Alford was shot in north Nashville while trying to apprehend a suspect. Officer Alford was shot around 11:45 a.m. while working routine drug enforcement. The suspects fled and the officer gave chase. The suspects fled into a vacant apartment building. Police cleared the first floor then went to the second floor. In a bedroom of a second floor apartment the officers found one of the suspects, 21 year-old MarShawn L. Trial Begins In Triple-Homicide Case - Spence Accused Of Killing 3 White Students 'Execution Style'      COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The trial began Wednesday for a man charged with the execution-style murders of three people near The Ohio State University campus two years ago. Prosecutors said Vernon Spence, 30, killed three people during a robbery at an alleged drug house. Kayla Hurst, 21, Aaron Grexa, 23, and Erik Hlass, 22, were found shot in the back bedroom of a house on July 23, 2003. Investigators said they were either killed that day or the night before. Their bodies were discovered tied up execution-style and shot to death at the home. The three young adults were bound with stereo wires. The other suspect, Todd Bensonhaver, pleaded guilty earlier this year to three counts of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and three counts of kidnapping. The prosecutor said Spence, the alleged triggerman, told his friends, "I have to get rid of them because they know my face." The prosecutor said Bensonhaver and the other man, Rodell Kareen Rahman, ran from the house and heard gunshots. Prosecutors said that Spence shot Grexa and Hurst twice in the head and Hlass once. The judge in the case admonished Hlass' father, Bob Hlass, for a letter he wrote to Spence while the suspect was in jail. Dwayne Best, 16, was named for the first time after being jailed for life over the assault on the 28-year-old in her classroom. In a 12-minute attack, he ripped off her clothes, butted and bit her, grabbed her by the throat and repeatedly threatened to kill her. (Black) Teens Charged In Carjacking, Murder Of White Man At Gas Station - Victim's Final Words Spoken To 911 Dispatcher Two teenagers were arraigned in 50th District Court in Pontiac on Thursday in connection with a carjacking and shooting at a gas station. Christopher Eugene Jackson, 17, and his alleged accomplice, Cordero Landrum, 18, were both charged with murder, carjacking and felony possession of a firearm. David Lee Bingham, 38, ran inside a Pontiac Sunoco station on Tuesday to get help after he was carjacked. Police said Jackson followed Bingham into the station and fired four shots into his chest. Three Black Teens Charged With Kidnapping then Killing White Arlington Woman  JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Mary Jane Wright was duct-taped, handcuffed and kidnapped from her Arlington apartment. She would die at another apartment complex only blocks away. "This was a senseless crime. Mary wouldn't hurt anybody," said her sister Vickie Souder. Police arrested and charged Keith Monford, Aaron Wright and Michael Workman with her murder. The suspects are 16-years-old. Woman who threatened Zeta-Jones sentenced   LOS ANGELES -- A woman who pleaded no contest to stalking and threatening Catherine Zeta-Jones was sentenced Friday to three years in state prison, but with credit for time served, she could be behind bars for less than a year. Dawnette Knight, 35, cried silently as the Judge read her sentence. The judge also approved a 10-year restraining order barring Knight from contact with Zeta-Jones and her family and ordered her to pay $200 in restitution. He gave her credit for 600 days served. Norman Roscher, the victim of the attempted bicycle theft and beating, said the neighborhood is fired up. "The outpouring of support from the neighbors has been incredible -- black and white," he said. Shortly after 5 p.m. Friday, Roscher, who is white, was riding his bicycle. A large number of boys and girls were gathered outside the fence. One boy asked Roscher a question. He pulled up, and the boy hit him with a sucker punch. At least 10 boys swarmed the bicyclist, punching and swinging, said Dayquah, another boy who witnessed the attack. Roscher heard "Give me your bicycle," he recalled. Black scum is charged with first-degree murder of his white ex-'girlfriend'   A college student and the felon from Edwardsville charged Thursday with murdering her had each called police numerous times in recent months, 100 accusing each other of harassment. The body of Marissa Tharp, 20, of New Boston, Ill., was found beaten and strangled about 1 p.m. Tuesday by police in a rickety mobile home. On Thursday, Shauntez T. "Shaun" Hairston, 25, was charged in St. Clair County Circuit Court with first-degree murder in Tharp's killing. Hairston was being held in the St. Clair County Jail in lieu of $1 million bond. Tharp's father said his daughter had met Hairston at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she was a student. Black Pleads Guilty in Kidnap, Rape and Murder of White Texas Wal-Mart clerk  TYLER, Texas -- A man pleaded guilty Thursday to capital murder in the death of Megan Leann Holden Wal-Mart store clerk whose abduction was captured in chilling detail on videotape as she left work. Johnny Lee Williams Jr., 25, received consecutive life sentences on the capital murder charge as well as two counts of aggravated sexual assault, kidnapping and robbery. Sports: Black racist basketballers accused of hate crime assault on White man in Toronto     TORONTO -- An assault trial for three NBA players has heard that three men hurled racial slurs from a taxi before getting out and pummelling a man. Adrian Cimpean testified he was picking up his fiancee from work outside a strip club when three men in a taxi began calling him a "nigger." He says they told him they would teach him a lesson. Cimpean is white, while the three accused -- all NBA players -- are black. Police arrest black boyfriend of murdered white UNCC student   Police in New York have taken the boyfriend of a woman found dead in her apartment Tuesday morning into custody. He was stopped by customs agents at the Canadian border late Tuesday night. Police said Seyi Tayo Odueso, 27, was trying to cross the border into Canada around 11 p.m. Customs officers detained him in Alexandria Bay, New York. They said Odueso was driving the silver 2003 Nissan 350z police had been looking for. Odueso is now charged with murdering his live-in girlfriend Christy Galvin, 26. | Man Shot, Killed While Calling 911 From Gas Station - Black Suspect Found With Gun, Victim's Car KeysA 17-year-old man is in police custody after a carjacking that left one man dead at a Pontiac Sunoco station. The victim's final words were spoken to a 911 dispatcher as he stood in the gas station trying to call for help. David Lee Bingham ran inside the gas station to get help after he was carjacked, but one of the men followed him and fired four shots into Bingham's chest. Police found a vehicle matching the denoscription of Bingham's truck. While checking the area, they observed a black male matching the denoscription of one of the suspects. The suspect was detained after officers found a .38 caliber revolver with four spent casings in the cylinder. Officers also recovered the victim's car key in the suspect's pocket. - (Aryan Barbarian)

Search for Emily Rimel Resumes - Rimel Last Seen In December  NEWARK, Ohio -- A search crew of 10 people and six dogs searched a portion of Interstate 70 in Licking County on Wednesday for a 5-year-old girl who has been missing since December. Emily Rimel disappeared from her Madison Township home in December and hasn't been seen since. Lindsey Bruce was charged with raping the girl and is suspected in her disappearance. He has been in jail for months. Detectives believe that Bruce was in Licking County the days after Rimel was taken from her southeast side apartment. Emily is 3 feet tall and about 48 pounds.
