  HILLSBORO -- A 27-year-old Cornelius man will be deported to Mexico as part of his guilty plea to following a woman off a TriMet bus and trying to rape her.  Jose Martin Vizcaya Mejia pleaded guilty to second-degree kidnapping and attempted rape. He had been charged with first-degree kidnapping, a Measure 11 crime that carries a mandatory minimum of 71/2 years in prison. The judge warned Vizcaya that if he comes back to the United States illegally, he will be sent to prison for three years. - (Invasion!)

  Silvas-Ojeda, a day laborer, was booked Wednesday morning into the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of sexual assault, first-degree kidnapping and battery with intent to commit sexual assault. Mexican Martin Vasquez Gets 40 Years for 1998 Slayings of his estranged wife,
a city councilman who had begun dating her, and his father-in-law. Martin Vasquez, 43, was convicted in May for the first-degree murders of Robin Vasquez, a reporter for the Kinsley Graphic; her father, Howard Franks; and City Councilman Thomas Dinkel. After the killings, Vasquez fled to Mexico, where he was found at his family's farm in Durango state. Mexico, which doesn't have capital punishment, initially refused to extradite him, claiming a 40-year prison sentence without parole amounted to a death sentence.
