And it wasn’t until he turned himself into police and led them to his apartment less than a kilometre away from the scene, that the tragic search ended. “There’s reason to believe that Naoimi had been sexually assaulted,” relates Inspector Buzz Bezzaire. “There’s no known connection between Thomas Hurst and Naoimi Almeida.” The cause of death isn’t clear yet and there’s no obvious connection between victim and suspect.

I am reading in the paper and watching on TV the debate about the seriousness of his crime and whether or not he should play basketball for the Utah Jazz, and even reading articles that refer to him as a "rapist."

     FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Utah Jazz rookie DeShawn Stevenson is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning on statutory rape charges after allegedly admitting he had sex with a 14-year-old girl. Stevenson, a 6-foot-5 backup guard who went into the NBA from high school, faces up to three years in state prison if convicted of the felony. The girl told police that Stevenson, 20, his best friend and former high school teammate DeShawn Anderson, 19, and Spring Hill College's Richard Millsap, 21, took her and a 15-year-old friend to a motel. There, she said, Stevenson and Anderson gave the two girls alcohol and had sex with them. The 14-year-old told her mother, and Stevenson admitted to the mother in a tape-recorded telephone call that he had sex with her daughter, according to court records. Stevenson and Anderson will be arraigned in Fresno County Superior Court.
