Two feral blacks charged in brutal slaughter of two Virginia families - one Black and another White with 2 children throats slit     Two men were captured Saturday and charged in the brutal killings of seven people from two Richmond families, slayings that police hadn't publicly tied together until now.
Police Chief Rodney Monroe said Ray Joseph Dandridge and Ricky Gavon Gray, both 28, were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and auto theft after they were arrested driving a Cadillac that belonged to one of the victims.
The bodies of Percyell Tucker, 55; Mary Baskerville, 47; and her daughter, Ashley Baskerville, 21, were found Friday bound with duct tape in their ransacked Richmond home. N.C. -- More than eight years ago, a black named Abner Nicholson gunned down the White police chief of Sharpsburg   Since then, a picture of Abner Nicholson hung in the police department -- until now. The sister of the slain lawman says taking down Nicholson's picture is an insult to her brother's memory. "They've not forgotten my brother, which makes me feel good," said Chief Willard Wayne Hathaway's sister, Monica Worsham. "But I don't want them to forget who took him from us" Worsham is livid that town officials removed the picture of the man who killed her brother in 1997. The snapshot of Nicholson had been posted on the bulletin board in the police station lobby with the captions "don't ever forget this face" and "dead man walking." Sharpsburg's new mayor, Sheila Williams, objected to the picture and the caption. "This was told to me when she first took office -- that picture is coming down," said Worsham. - (Tyrone N. Va. Man Charged With Killing Mormon Missionary  A man was charged with killing a Mormon missionary and wounding another in a shooting that police believe occurred because the victims had witnessed a crime while they were discussing their religion door-to-door. James Rickey Boughton Jr., 19, was arrested at his home. Elder Morgan W. Young, 21, from Bountiful, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Doctors treated him, but Young's injuries were too severe. He died early this morning.

Three Arrested In Connection With Slayings, Robberies * Killing meant to silence woman  Indianapolis police said they arrested three men in connection with eight armed robberies that left three people dead -- including a woman who police say was involved in the spree -- and six others injured. Police said they arrested Gabriel Jordan, 25, and two other men Sunday. Jordan is a suspect in the shooting death of Vanessa Hankins, a 26-year-old woman whose body was found Dec. 28 on a sidewalk. Authorities said they believe Hankins served as a lookout and a getaway driver for the other three as they robbed people in Evansville and Indianapolis in December. Authorities said they believe Jordan, Hankins and others were involved in a robbery and shooting at an Evansville house on Dec. 26. One person was killed and another was injured, police said. Black with bloody clothes found driving car stolen from murdered 83-year-old * Update: Slain woman was busy elder  South Carolina state troopers say bloody clothes worn by a driver during a traffic stop helped investigators solve the killing of a Sampson County woman before her body was discovered. Christopher Terry was driving erratically when they pulled him over. He was found to be driving a stolen car. Terry's shirt was covered in blood and the officer asked if he was hurt. The guy made a confession at that point," Terry told the trooper he had killed 83-year-old Alice West McNair in her home. He was driving her car and a gun was found under the seat. "The sad part is Ms. McNair had been at church or left church around 1 p.m. with family and friends, and that was the last time they saw her" - (Tyrone N. 4 Robbed, 1 White Man Killed During Crime Spree by Two Black Males * Man killed by black robber dies in Florida home   Workers cleaned the spot Wednesday morning where Shawn Mulkin, 44, was killed when he tried to chase after the men who had robbed his apartment. Shawn Mulkin was shot and killed by an armed robber in his home in Orlando, Fla., on Tuesday night.
Shawn, 44, is the son of John Mulkin, who founded The Herrin Spokesman in 1957. Martha Mulkin, Shawn's stepmother for the past two decades, said she and her husband learned of the news on Wednesday. White Fayetteville police officer in good condition after being shot by black after stopping truck described in prior shooting   Authorities found the vehicle driven by a suspect who allegedly shot two people, one of which was a Fayetteville police officer. However, the search continues for the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are looking for 43-year-old Thurman Levone Burns. Fayetteville Police Officer Chris Kempf conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the denoscription of a pickup truck involved in a shooting earlier in the night. When Kempf approached the vehicle, police say Burns fired a gun, striking Kempf. Burns is also wanted in connection with a domestic-related shooting. Ohio Jury Convicts Negro of Kidnapping 5-year-old White Girl - Sentenced to only 10 years for kidnap - victim still missing   COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Jurors convicted a man Friday of kidnapping a 5-year-old girl, but acquitted him of a rape charge that could have brought a mandatory life sentence. The girl is presumed dead, but Bruce was not charged with murder. Lindsey Bruce was charged with kidnapping and raping Emily Rimel, who has been missing since December. She was last seen in her Madison Township home on the night when Bruce was visiting. Rimel's body has not been found and Bruce was not charged with murder.
