Black Man pleads guilty to murdering three White co-workers and one pre-born baby at integrated Outback restaurant   The second of two men accused of murdering three employees at the Outback Steakhouse in Texarkana two years ago pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Richard Markeil Henson admitted killing Rebecca Shifflet, Crystal Willis and Matthew Hines during a robbery at the restaurant in September 2003. Henson's co-defendant, Stephon Lavell Walter, was convicted last year and sentenced to life in prison. Both Henson and Walter used to work at the restaurant. Rebecca's Mother:" She was just glowing, she had that pregnancy glow about her". At the time of the funeral her mother described the only way Rebecca would ever hold her child. Black Man Pleads Guilty To Rape and Murder of White St. Marys Teen In 2000  Ga. -- Just before opening statements were to begin in the trial for the murder of a St. Marys middle-school student in May 2000, James Miley pleaded guilty to all charges. James Miley was accused of killing Ashley Nichole Neeves five years ago. The 14-year-old girl's body was found near the St. Marys waterfront. Investigators said her throat had been slit and her face mutilated. Miley was charged with murder, rape, aggravated battery, and kidnapping with bodily injury. After the plea Monday morning, Miley was sentenced to two consecutive life terms plus 20 years. Prosecutor George Turner said he had a strong death penalty case, but said accepting the plea was in the best interest of all parties. "It's been a horrible five years," said the victim's father, Pete Parrish. "We were hoping that his conscious would finally come clean, and it dead. And with the support of my family and the evidence that the state had, we knew that he would get what he deserved." Miley, who was 18 and an 11th-grader at Camden High School at the time of the slaying, knew Neeves. Stabbing Suspect Appears In Court * Slaying victim had misgivings about move to Boston  BOSTON -- The man charged with stabbing a 65-year-old Boston woman to death inside her senior citizen complex appeared in court. Stevie Walker, a part-time hairdresser, stood in court with his back to the camera sporting dreadlocks. Police said he was braiding a woman's hair inside an apartment complex for senior citizens when he took a walk, looking for an easy robbery. "He somehow obtained entry to the apartment and the evidence is overwhelming that a violent struggle ensued in the apartment. There was a piece of a dreadlock that was on the floor in the apartment. " Galina Kotik was stabbed more than 10 times. "There was change strewn about and there was blood on the floor," Bradl said. Kotik emigrated to the United States years ago. Black Stepfather Of White Boy In Custody Fight Charged With Abuse  JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The stepfather of a 4-year-old at the center of a custody dispute has been arrested in Illinois, charged with domestic battery involving the boy. Evan Scott Johnson spent the first three years of his life with an Atlantic Beach couple who were trying to adopt him. Late last year, a judge awarded custody to his biological mother, Amanda Hopkins, and her black husband, Michael Hopkins. In January, Evan was taken to live with the Hopkins family in Illinois. According to police, Michael Hopkins, 26, was arrested Monday they investigated a report of child abuse in the home. They are accused of stabbing David Allan Green, 21, of Saginaw County, at the minimum-security facility in Shingleton on Oct. 3. Black Man guilty in murder of White mother and her 2-year-old daughter kidnapped from a park    LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- A Gwinnett County jury has convicted a 27-year-old man charged in the 1999 deaths of a woman and her young daughter. The jury returned the guilty verdict Friday morning against Wesley Harris in the deaths of 22-year-old Whitney Land and her two-year-old daughter. The jury found Harris guilty on all counts. District Attorney Danny Porter says Harris abducted the two from Panhandle Park in Clayton County and then drove the Lands' car to Gwinnett County -- where he shot them, put their bodies in the trunk and burned the car. - (Tyrone N. Crimestoppers Tip Leads to Arrest of black man for murder of white woman    A Columbia man has been arrested in connection with the 2004 murder of 20-year-old Stephanie Dover. Officers arrested John Joseph Moore, Jr. Moore is charged with murder, one count of possession of a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. In October of 2004, investigators said two men in a truck came up beside Dover's car, while she was riding home with her family from a cookout. Someone started firing shots, striking Dover and her three-year-old son. Dover's fiance, Gene Derrick, Jr., said he still struggles with what to tell their children. Three black teens bragged about breaking into an elderly White couples home on Halloween night and shooting 84-year-old   PRICE HILL – Three teenagers have been arrested in the Halloween night shooting of an 84-year-old retired postal worker. The teens apparently had been bragging about shooting Charles Iles after forcing their way into his Terry Avenue in East Price Hill on Monday. Police say they learned the identity of the suspects from students at Western Hills High School, where at least two of the accused are believed to have been enrolled. Iles still has two bullets lodged inside his body. He is listed in critical condition at University Hospital. Police identified the three suspects as Deondre Berryman, 16, Lehman Road, East Price Hill; Terrance Davis, 17, First Avenue, West Price Hill, and Otis Clark, 18, of Crestline Avenue, East Price Hill. Police said the three barged into the home of Charles and Ada Iles after trick-or-treating time had ended and demanded money. Police said Berryman shot Iles with a .22 caliber handgun. 32-Year-Old DNA Used Against Black Rape Suspect   Another example of the power of DNA evidence is being presented in State Supreme Court-Manhattan. It's a rape case that dates back more than 30 years. The key witness was the victim herself, who has gone public in her long struggle for justice. After testifying today, Kathleen Ham, now 58, said, "I've waited 32 years for this." The man charged is 58-year-old Fletcher Anderson Worrell. The rape took place in Ms. Ham's apartment at 317 West 21st Street on June 26, 1973. At the time, Ham was 26. She testified before daybreak that she saw a man with a lit disposable lighter coming through her window in the dark. Ham said she could see his shirt and sneakers, but not his face. She screamed. On the witness stand, Ham, who is a lawyer, fought back tears as she described how the attacker covered her head with a sheet, held a knife to her throat and raped her. | Ohio Jury Convicts Negro of Kidnapping 5-year-old White Girl - facing only three years to 10 years COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Jurors convicted a man Friday of kidnapping a 5-year-old girl, but acquitted him of a rape charge that could have brought a mandatory life sentence. The girl is presumed dead, but Bruce was not charged with murder.   Lindsey Bruce was charged with kidnapping and raping Emily Rimel, who has been missing since December. She was last seen in her Madison Township home on the night when Bruce was visiting. Rimel's body has not been found and Bruce was not charged with murder. Accused Black Killer of White Boy "Not Competent To Stand Trial"  A judge in Alexandria ruled that Gregory Murphy was still not competent to stand trial for allegedly killing 8-year-old Kevin Shifflet in 2000. The boy was stabbed to death as he played in front of his grandmother's home in Alexandria's Del Ray neighborhood.

MOULTON — The Lawrence County student who found the beaten body of Judy Jester said he had to do the right thing when he made friends take him to the old Moulton High School cafeteria. "If I were up there, I would want somebody to come and get me," said C.J. Carlisle, a senior at Lawrence County High School. He found Jester between three and four hours after Demetrick Young allegedly beat her unconscious for less than $10, authorities said. Authorities charged Young, 15, on Monday with capital murder. Jester, 55, a first-grade Hatton Elementary teacher, died Sunday just after 2 p.m. at Huntsville Hospital. The U.S. Supreme Court in March made it illegal to execute juveniles under the age of 18 at the time of their crime.
