(White) Victims, (black) suspect identified in stabbing spree at Good Shepherd Medical Center  The names of the other Good Shepherd Medical Center stabbing victims were released today in a press conference at the facility. They are: Karen Bobo, Harris Teel, Teresa Allison and Melissa Simms. Bobo, a hospital employee, was treated and has been released. The other three were visitors to the hospital. Of those, one remains in critical condition, one in good condition and the other was treated and released. Hospital security and Longview police responded to the scene at about 7 a.m. The suspect, Kyron Templeton, was arraigned on a charge of murder and four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was the son of a patient in the facility and was arrested on Sixth Street. Templeton used a knife in the attacks. A motive has not been determined. The woman who was killed was 57-year-old Gail Sandidge, according to the victim's sister.. - (Black-on-white) |

2 black teens arrested in shooting death of 88-year-old White man    Police arrested two Canton teenagers Monday in connection to the shooting death of an 88-year-old man. Japheth Thomas, 19, was arrested. Mikal Johnson, 18, was arrested. Both are charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. Davis said detectives are continuing to investigate and further charges may be pending. Eugene H. Render, 88, was shot twice, once in the chest and once in the abdomen, and found in his kitchen The Stark County coroner's office pronounced Render dead at the scene. - (Black-on-white) |

Three Blacks Charged in Hendrix Shooting Death of 76-year-old White Woman    ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. - Three people are now charged in the shooting death of 76-year-old Dorothy Hendrix. Hendrix was shot Sunday morning outside of her home. Steven Benard Hagood, 33, Tereba Racquel Geer, 26, and Bradacious Terrell Galloway, 23 are all charged in the murder. Hagood was hospitalized after being shot in the arm during the incident. The coroner said that heavy bleeding as the cause of Hendrix's death. Hendrix was killed outside of her home around 1 a.m. on Saturday. Hendrix often returned home in the early morning hours because of her job. She also was often carrying large sums of money. The Sheriff's office served a search warrant where she worked. The search led to the seizure of 15 illegal gambling machines. Investigators now believe the armed robbery and shooting stemmed from Hendrix's possession of the proceeds from gambling. - (Black-on-white) |

Two Black teens try to rob White Middletown couple MIDDLETOWN, OH - A Middletown veterans club is offering $1000 reward for the apprehension of two teens who attempted to rob a couple Saturday night. On Saturday, November 23, 2013 at approximately 7:30pm, a husband and wife, 70 and 67 years old, were walking to the AM Vets post on Ross Avenue. Video shows them being approached from behind by two black males. Suspect #1 grabbed the male victim from behind, forcefully trying to remove his wallet from his rear pocket. The suspects also demanded the other victim to hand over her purse, which she did not do. During the attempted robbery, the female victim falls. Luckily, the suspects were frightened off and did not get anything from the victims. Suspect #1 is described as a lighter skinned black male around 5'10" to 6'00" tall, very thin, with a "baby" face. Suspect #2 is a darker skinned black male about 6'00" tall. Both of the suspects are possibly in their late teens. - (Black-on-white) |
(Black female) Fort Myers teen arrested after cowardly 'knockout' attacks on White senior citizens   LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Sheriff's Office has arrested a juvenile in connection with two random attacks. Traveshia Blanks, is charged with two counts of battery on a person 65 years of age or older. Deputies responded to a report of a group of people who randomly attacked an unsuspecting victim "I was in shock" said the 72-year-old Fort Myers victim. While he was weeding his garden, someone kicked him from behind, knocking him to the ground. The victim says he saw a teenage girl laughing at him before she walked back to join a larger group of teens. I turned around to see what happened and there was a girl standing there laughing," he said. On Tuesday, a second victim contacted the sheriff's office. Harry Hurvitz, 89, told deputies that someone rang his doorbell, and he looked and saw several well-dressed teens standing outside his door and one of them appeared to be holding a cell phone or camera. When he opened the door, one of the juveniles suddenly and without provocation slapped him in the face The entire group then fled, laughing as they ran off. "There are lots of old ladies here who have guns and revolvers in their possesion and will not open the door unless they are fully armed," he said. (Black boyfriend) Suspect captured in slaying of white mom, 3 (mixed-race) children  PARSONS, KS - The bodies of a mother and her three children were found slain inside their Parsons home Tuesday, and a suspect has been captured after a manhunt for him. David Cornell Bennett Jr., 22, of Cherryvale, KS, was taken into custody Cami Umbarger, 29, and her children were found (dead). The children were 9-year-old-Hollie Betts, 6-year-old Jaxon Betts and 4-year-old Averie Betts. Umbarger's co-workers at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home said they became alarmed when she failed to show up for work on Monday morning. She was a nurse at the facility. After co-workers called police, officers made the grisly discovery. A friend of Umbarger's said that she met Bennett in a bar. A candlelight vigil is planned. On Halloween, a 22-year-old man had been arrested for threatening murder-suicide on Facebook. That man was apparently Bennett. He was taken into custody and underwent a mental evaluation after posting the message. Bennett was found by police at a motel. He was arrested without incident. Funeral services are planned Monday for Umbarger and her three young children. - (Black-on-white) |

Black East Texas man indicted for murder of white woman at Gilmer football game  UPSHUR COUNTY, TX - The Upshur County Grand Jury indicted 32-year-old Jonathan Ray Shepherd on one count of capital murder. 29-year-old Cheyenne Green was killed in September during an 8th grade football game. Green was found by Shepherd's wife as she lay in the parking lot. Shepherd asked his wife to go to the parking lot where she'd find the victim's car running and the three-year-old in the back seat. His wife took the little boy, saw Green lying in blood, and called 911. "That was two adults that knew each other very well... had a child together. A judicial records search revealed that Shepherd had a protective order filed against him in 2002 and 2003 by a woman in Upshur County. Her child was also listed on the order. - (Black-on-white) |

High court upholds sex assault conviction originally charged to 'John Doe' - He murdered a White woman in 1999  SALT LAKE CITY — The state's high court upheld a 2009 conviction stemming from a sexual assault in 1996, finding that the prosecution fell within the statute of limitations. Donald Eugene Younge Jr. appealed his conviction on two counts of aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony, and robbery, a second-degree felony, to the Utah Supreme Court. In a ruling handed down Friday, Associate Chief Justice Ronald Nehring found that the charges filed against Younge were valid. He was charged with the 1999 murder of University of Utah student Amy Quinton. - (Black-on-white) |

Black man convicted in shooting death of white mother of two  CINCINNATI —The man who shot and killed a mother in Northside last year has been found guilty of reckless homicide. Carlos Richardson was found guilty of reckless homicide on Thursday. He was acquitted of a greater charge of murder. Richardson shot and killed Candace DeMoss, 20, at a home on Nov. 18, 2012. Richardson was also found guilty of tampering with evidence and having a weapon under disability. Family members said DeMoss was the mother of a 2- and 4-year-old. DeMoss had been staying with Richardson at the time of the shooting. “He took the life of my niece, she's 20 years old. She still had her whole life ahead of her. It really makes me sick to my stomach,” the victim’s aunt, Amanda Abrams, said. - (Black-on-white) |

Black suspect named in Mecosta murder, rapes   MECOSTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A woman is dead and three others were sexually assaulted during an overnight standoff in Mecosta County. The incident began at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday when police were called to a home on Cramer Drive on reports of a shot fired. Upon arrival, deputies were told that a gunman was inside with hostages. Kathleen Hawley, 58, of Morley was shot and died at the scene. Three women, ages 20-30, were inside, along with two 7-year-old boys, and a 10-month-old girl. The gunman held the hostages overnight, but released two of the women and the children before sunrise. Duncan Eric Willis II came out of the home peacefully at about 7 a.m. and surrendered to police. The hostages reported that they were sexually assaulted during the standoff. Willis is a neighbor from across the street. - (Black-on-white) |

Black woman stabbed White woman to death - stole her car   WIlliamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick says 66 year-old Barbara Beers of Johnston City, Illinois died as a result of stab wounds. 30 year-old Tamera Williams, of Johnston City, was arrested in Tennessee. Vick believes Williams stole Beers' car and was headed to Georgia. Williams is currently being held in the Rutherford County jail on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle. Additional charges related to the homicide are expected to file against Williams Sunday. - (Black-on-white) |

Black Man charged in White doctor's murder  AUGUSTA, Ga. - A suspect is behind bars in connection to the disappearance and murder of a Kathleen, Georgia doctor. Richmond County investigators identified 22-year old Glenn Vincent Riggs II as being involved in the disappearance of Dr. Charles Mann. According to officials, Dr. Mann was murdered while at Riggs' residence, located on Dublin Drive in Augusta. Dr. Mann's body was later located near Spirit Creek at Willis Foreman Roads. Riggs is being held at the Richmond County Jail for Robbery by Force and Murder. Doctor Charles Mann was reported missing Thursday evening. - (Black-on-white) |

N. Charleston black charged in connection with Michigan murder of White man  NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - Officials say a North Charleston man accused of murdering a medical student in Ann Arbor, Michigan has been formally charged, and is facing additional home invasion charges. Police arrested 21-year-old Shaquille Jones earlier this month at his North Charleston apartment. Jones is being charged in Washtenaw County with homicide, two counts of first degree home invasion, and conspiracy to commit home invasion. He is being held without bond. A preliminary hearing will be held December 5. The victim, 25-year-old Paul Dewolf, was found shot in the neck in July. Investigators say a co-worker found Dewolf dead in his fraternity house in the 200 block of N. Ingalls Street. - (Black-on-white) |

Black man guilty of attempted murder of (White) former AL Rep. Love's mother-in-law   MONTGOMERY, AL - A man on trial on multiple charges related to the home invasion and robbery of former State Rep. Jay Love's in-laws in September 2012 has been found guilty. Wilanu Collins was convicted of burglary, three counts of robbery and the attempted murder of Love's mother-in-law. The home invasion happened at the victim's home on Monticello Drive in Montgomery on a Friday morning. Collins will be sentenced on Jan. 22. He faces 20 years to life on each of the five counts. The district attorney will ask for "consecutive life sentences." Another suspect in the case, Elton Walton, pleaded guilty to three counts of robbery and one count of burglary May 8. Black man arrested for shooting (white) man with black girlfriend - Victim's mother says killing was over race  JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The mother of a (white) 26-year-old man shot and killed Monday night said her son never judged people by the color of the their skin, but she said the man who killed him did. Police said David Bouthillier (pictured at right) was killed by 20-year-old Troy Sirmons (left) after an altercation. Family members say Sirmons called Bouthillier, who is white, a racial slur before he pulled the trigger. Bouthillier said David and his girlfriend, who is African-American, had been dating for a year, and both lived in an apartment complex on the Westside. Bouthillier and his girlfriend were involved in a verbal argument outside the complex when Sirmons approached them to break it up. Sirmons later returned to the couple's house and shot the 26-year-old when he opened the door. - (Black-on-white) |
Black killed in standoff after shooting mixed-race son of one of his white ex-girfriends then shooting another white ex-girlfriend   GROVE CITY, Ohio - A Columbus police SWAT officer was injured while attempting to apprehend a man suspected of shooting a 9-year-old boy and a woman. The string of shootings began when paramedics and police officers responded to a home on a report of a shooting. A 9-year-old boy opened the door and was shot once at close range. The boy, identified as Jaiden Dixon, was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. However, Dixon's mother posted to her Facebook page that doctors are harvesting his organs for donation. The suspect was identified as 47-year-old Danny Thornton, who is the ex-boyfriend of Dixon's mother. Dixon's mother, who was sitting in the living room when the shooting occurred, and Thornton have a 17-year-old son together. Columbus police officers responded to a second shooting at Pitts Dentistry. Thornton entered the practice, and said "Haven't seen you in a while" and shot a dental hygienist once before turning and walking out of the office. The victim, Vicki Vertin, is believed to be another ex-girlfriend of Thornton. She is listed in critical, but stable condition. Vertin and Thornton had two children together. Later, Thornton exited his vehicle and raised his weapon to the officers. The officers fired at Thornton who was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. An officer, 51-year-old Officer Steve Smith, was also injured during the standoff. Thornton's criminal history dating back to 1985. - (Black-on-white) |
Dahlinger had hired suspect for sex - black pimp and white whore arrested in murder of Grand Rapids fornicater  GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The woman charged in connection to the murder of John Dahlinger is a prostitute and he had previously hired her, police confirmed to 24 Hour News 8 Thursday night. Dahlinger, 56, was found beaten and shot inside his northeast Grand Rapids condo in mid-October. Danyell Thomas, 36, and his girlfriend 24-year-old Dijana Kilic were charged Thursday in connection to the murder. Thomas faces murder charges, while Kilic faces a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery. A probable cause document says the suspects planned to rob Dahlinger, and that Thomas brought the gun. Kilic is a prostitute and Dahlinger hired her for sex, police confirmed. Dahlinger had a second life. And it appears to have caught up with him. Danvers, Mass., black 14-year-old accused of raping — and murdering — White high school teacher Colleen Ritzer A 14-year-old boy last month allegedly raped Danvers High School teacher Colleen Ritzer before murdering her and dumping her body in a nearby wooded area, prosecutors said today. Philip D. Chism was indicted by an Essex County grand jury today on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated rape and armed robbery. Chism allegedly attacked Ritzer when she stayed after school to talk with him about an upcoming exam, according to prosecutors and students who were in the building that day. “The indictments returned today detail horrific and unspeakable acts.” “This is the first step in a long process to secure justice for Ms. Ritzer and her family.” Chism allegedly sexually assaulted the victim with an object. Chism, armed with a box cutter, robbed the victim of credit cards, an iPhone, and her underwear. - (Black-on-white) |
